Mo Salah has surprised many in his first season back in English football.
The Egyptian international has scored 29 times for Liverpool since his summer move from AS Roma. Although he was hardly in poor form during his two-year stint in Serie A, his displays since arriving on Merseyside – where he’s arguably been the Premier League’s best player – have been a far cry from his time with Chelsea, where he struggled for first team appearances.
The 25-year-old, whose first goal against Tottenham last weekend set a new club record, is clearly feeling very much at home at Anfield.
Speaking in an interview featured in the latest edition of FourFourTwo, Salah explained that he wanted to play for Liverpool for many years, and in doing so, was realising a dream.
“I have loved the club since I was young and knew this was a team I wanted to play for,” he said.
“I knew the history this club has and, as soon as I got the chance, I had to make it happen.”
Although these words will be encouraging to the club’s supporters – especially given recent murmurings of Real Madrid being interested in signing him – not everyone appears to be buying it…
If you believe mo salah was a Liverpool fan as a child then if you ever lose a tooth make sure you put it under your pillow. Haha

Funny how you turned down your 'boyhood club' for Chelsea a while ago?

so Salah liked LFC as a child and wanted to play for the club soo much. Yet when the opportunity came he snubbed us for Chelsea.

In the summer: * he grew up as a Real Madrid fan

Everyone who signs for Liverpool apparently had LFC bed covers. Can’t believe some of their fans believe the PR rubbish their club feeds them.

Still, for now at least, Salah doesn’t appear for angling for a move elsewhere.
