He was found dead in December.

Back in December, Pulp Fiction actor Peter Greene was found dead in his New York City apartment.

He was found unresponsive in his Manhattan apartment and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Greene was best known for his roles as Zed in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction and Dorian Tyrell in The Mask, starring alongside Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz.

Greene's manager Gregg Edwards told NBC News: "Nobody played a bad guy better than Peter.

"But he also had, you know, a gentle side that most people never saw, and a heart as big as gold."

“Truly one of the great actors of our generation. His heart was as big as there was. I’m going to miss him. He was a great friend."

Now his cause of death has been confirmed.

Greene died from an accidental gunshot wound.

New York's Chief Medical Exaimer told that Green died of a 'gunshot wound of left axilla with injury of brachial artery'.

In layman's terms, Greene accidentally shot himself in the left armpit, and the bullet damaged the artery that supplies blood to the arm, elbow, forearm, and hand leading to his death.

He was found dead after neighbours called the police complaining of loud music coming from his apartment for days.

When officers conducted a welfare check they found Greene face down on the floor where he was pronounced dead.
